Space Coast Symphony pairs film scores with iconic holiday movie clips
(Suntree, FL) November 16, 2015 – What happens every time an angel gets his wings? If you know the answer to that, or want to find out, the Space Coast Symphony has the perfect feel good experience coming up: Christmas at the Movies. The multi-media event kicks off the yuletide season on Saturday, November 28th at 7:00 PM at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in north Melbourne, just off the Pineda Causeway at 5625 Holy Trinity Drive, 32940. The innovative program will pair clips from holiday movie classics on screen while providing a live soundtrack. Joining the SCSO will be a chorus to perform the seldom heard music to It’s a Wonderful Life as well as Edward Scissorhands. In addition, hear the classic scores to Miracle on 34th Street, Polar Express, and even Harry Potter, for whom Christmas was a regular reminder of the joy of family. Rounding out the program is a host of traditional carols and musical fare from Leroy Anderson. Santa Claus is expected to make an appearance and children will be invited to help Conductor and Artistic Director Aaron Collins with his conducting duties. The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra performs in several very comfortable venues in Brevard and Indian River counties, with advance general admission tickets priced at just $20.
