Cole George is a junior in the Academy of Fine Arts at Satellite High School. As a musician, he started on the cello in fifth grade and added the bassoon in seventh grade. In ninth grade, he made the decision to pursue the bassoon. He has been playing the bassoon for 5 years and has studied privately for 4 years under Michael Sperr. He also studies with Gabriel Bergeron-Langlois when time permits.

Cole is principal bassoonist for the Satellite High Symphonic Orchestra, Satellite High Wind Ensemble, and Space Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra. In addition, he is Lead Alto-Sax in the Satellite High Jazz Orchestra and is a member of the Satellite High Marching Scorpions.

Cole was the principal bassoonist in the 2019 Florida All-State Symphonic Band and the 2019 Brevard All-County Orchestra. Additionally, in 2018 he participated in the Florida All-State Concert Orchestra and the Brevard All-County Orchestra, both as principal chair. He was a member of the Brevard All-County Band from 2016-2017. In 2018, he was the winner of the Young Artist Soloist Competition at Stetson University Double Reed Workshop and The Creative Young Artist Concerto Competition.

After completing high school, his goal is to study at a conservatory majoring in bassoon performance. From here, Cole wants to be a member of a large orchestra and to work in his community and give back through teaching and offering private lessons. In his spare time, he likes to hang out with his family and friends.
