Your Space Coast Symphony Orchestra reflects all that makes Central Florida special.

Under the vision and leadership of Aaron Collins, your Space Coast Symphony Orchestra reflects all that makes Central Florida special: its creativity, spirit, beauty and quest for knowledge. The SCSO is a major player on our cultural landscape with a unique mission to make professional classical music affordable and accessible to people of all ages. Thus, in an economic environment where many orchestras would fail, we are able to tell the SCSO success story.

While providing more concerts than any other musical organization in Brevard and Indian River Counties, the SCSO has launched bold initiatives and innovative programming that have gained national attention. The SCSO also performs year-round (Seasons run June – May), including the Summer. The SCSO is one of only 19 professional U.S. orchestras to perform year-round, giving tourists the opportunity to enjoy programming during the entire year.

The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra is reinventing the concept of a 21st-century orchestra by presenting the widest array of programming of any orchestra in Florida. Our focus is on creating programming that is balanced, accessible, innovative, and artistically expansive. Successfully growing our audience begins with what we bring to the stage, and continues with the ability to market and promote the Space and Treasure Coasts as cultural destinations. In any SCSO season, the audience can expect the best of what makes the SCSO a unique force in our community: the organization’s tradition of innovative programming, high-quality dynamic symphonic performances, active community engagement and commitment to arts education.

Since its founding in 2009, the SCSO has presented over eight hundred concerts throughout Central Florida. In 2024 / 25, over 40,000 people attended our concerts, including free and subscription. All tickets are offered at the lowest price possible. All students, aged 18 & under or anyone with a college student ID can attend all of our concerts for free.

In keeping with our mission, we also provide a unique Symphony for Everyone ticketing program, a “pay-what-you-can” option designed to provide substantially discounted admission to any concert. An innovative program, the Symphony for Everyone” program is a benchmark for helping provide classical music to the masses. This program is designed to provide complimentary or discounted Symphony tickets to those who may otherwise not be able to attend and afford a typical Symphony performance. Essentially, pay what you can. This is a model to other orchestras throughout the country to allow their communities the opportunity to attend orchestral concerts when they may not be able to otherwise. Our model is one of inclusion rather than exclusion. The program is available for all ticketed concerts. Since its inception, 31,545 individuals have used and benefitted from this program. These two bold initiatives garnered national attention back in 2015 in a story that aired on CNN.
