An enchanting story will come to life when a saxophone quartet from your Space Coast Symphony Orchestra present another installment of the popular Once Upon an Orchestra musical series for small fry.  Designed for preschool and kindergarten aged children, the 40-minute outdoor story time will feature the work, A Cup of Friendship.  King Gilbert hasn’t slept for weeks, we don’t know why, and none of the town doctors can cure him. He gets angrier and more irritable with every night he can’t sleep. He complains about everything and if this continues, he will no longer be able to reign. He has promised five chests of gold coins to the first person who manages to send him to sleep. Come find out if King Gilbert will finally get some much needed sleep.  Featuring the instruments of the saxophone family, this fun program is sure to entertain. The program will be narrated by Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins.

The musical program for children is free, with regular admission to McKee Botanical Garden. The Once Upon an Orchestra series is funded through a grant by Indian River Impact 100, an organization of women dedicated to impacting the community through transformational giving. (*Due to Covid-19, there will be no instrument petting zoo or interactive photo booth for this program).
