Honoring our Heroes

The free concert will feature music that honors the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Concert-goers can expect to hear rousing marches by John Philip Sousa along with works by John Williams and other American composers. One of the highlights of this free concert is Frank Ticheli’s Blue Shades, a romp filled with blues harmonies, rhythms and melodic idioms; and many "shades of blue" depicted: from bright to dark, to dirty, to hot.   Filled with surprises, this Veteran’s Day program will have the audience on the edge of their seats.
