Artist Information


Acclaimed soloist and chamber musician Samantha Barnes Daniel performs actively throughout the Central Florida area. She completed training at the University of Central Florida and Northwestern University, as well as several young artist programs at companies such as Chautauqua Opera and Arizona Opera. She is a two-time National semi-finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and was a Sarah Tucker Grant Nominee in the Richard Tucker Foundation Competition. Ms. Barnes Daniel performs regularly with Opera Orlando, the Voices of Liberty, the Solaria Singers of Orlando Sings, the Basilica Choir at Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine, the Villages Philharmonic and Space Coast Symphony. She has also sung with The Orlando Philharmonic, Opera Tampa, Chautauqua Opera, Arizona Opera, and The Illinois Philharmonic, among others. Recent stage credits include First Lady in The Magic Flute, the Mother in Hansel & Gretel, and Catherine of Aragon in Opera Orlando and Helena's award winning Orlando Fringe show, 6 of VIII, for which she also wrote the book.  Recent concert credits include the soprano soloist in the Brahms Requiem, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Monteverdi's Vespers of 1610, Schoenberg's 2nd String Quartet, Mahler’s 2nd & 3rd Symphonies, Barber’s, Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and the Mozart Requiem. She is a founding member of the professional women’s ensemble, Helena, and is an adjunct professor on the voice faculty at the University of Central Florida and Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland.

Chicago-born, Orlando-raised Filipino-American tenor, Kristoffer "Kit" Cleto has been teaching, performing, and music directing in Central Florida for the past decade. He trained and received degrees from the University of Central Florida and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During his time at UCF, Kit sang solos with the University Chorus, Chamber Singers, and UCF Symphony Orchestra and performed with UCF Opera, Orlando Opera Company, and the Orlando Philharmonic. During his time in Illinois, he performed with the Illinois Opera Theatre, U of I Opera Studio, Danville Symphony, Station Theatre, Sinfonia da Camera, and the Allerton Music Barn Festival. He also studied abroad performing operatic scenes and practicing the Italian language and culture with La Scuola Italia per Cantanti Lirici in Urbania and St’Angelo in Vado, Italy and performed the role of Tamino in The Magic Flute as a young artist with the Bethesda Summer Music Festival.

Kit continued to develop his vocal artistry, focusing on crossover and contemporary styles of singing. He has continued to perform and collaborate with Opera Orlando, Central Florida Vocal Arts, Opera Del Sol, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, Mad Cow Theatre, Athens Theatre, Garden Theatre, Titusville Playhouse, Heneger Center for the Arts, Central Florida Community Arts, Theatre at St. Luke's, Osceola Arts, Celebration Theatre Company, Theater West End, Florida Theatrical Association, and the William Daniel Mills Theatre. Kit is an adjunct professor at Valencia College and maintains a private voice studio for emerging and professional artists.
