Quartet Movement

Quartet Movement exists with the primary goal of educating advanced middle and high school students and the community at large about the Art of Chamber Music.  Through weekly coaching sessions with Space Coast Symphony Orchestra members, Quartet Movement encourages students to gain experience and learn to perform music at a high level.

Quartet Movement is dedicated to supporting school music programs and other community arts organizations.  Students are required to be enrolled in music ensembles at their local schools, with the hope that they will return to their schools with new insight into performance that may be applied to their own or other peers’ future performances.   Chamber music takes on many different forms, shapes and sizes. While the most familiar for many is a string quartet, there is a great deal of music written for ensembles both larger and smaller.    Quartet Movement is dedicated to allowing students to perform a wide range of music, which may include standard instrumentation quartets, or even music for eight or nine musicians, to ensembles as small as duets.
