Kelli Boquet began playing the flute at the age of 10. Boquet played throughout high school and continued her music career at the University of Central Florida, where she studied with Susan McQuinn.
She was very involved in the music department at UCF, as a member of the Marching Knights, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Flute Choir. In addition, Boquet performed for several musical theatre productions on and off campus and was chosen to perform at Paula Robison’s Flute Master Class at Rollins College and Donna Wissinger’s Flute Master Class at UCF. Kelli was also a featured soloist with the UCF Orchestra performing the Concertino by Chaminade for Flute and Orchestra.
In 1991, Boquet was selected to perform at Walt Disney World during the holiday season in the celebrated Candlelight Orchestra. She performed piccolo in the Clown Band and lead flute in the Flute Duo at Crystal Palace and Liberty Square. Since 1992, Boquet has been performing solo and with small ensembles for weddings and special events in the Orlando area. In 2013, she recorded her first cd, “Expressions”.
Boquet performs regularly with Central Florida Community Arts Orchestra and Canticle Flutes quartet. In July 2014, Boquet performed with the Central Florida Community Arts in association with Starving Artist Studios for the Broadway production of “Oliver”. Kelli is an active member of the Central Florida Musicians Association, Florida Flute Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity.
