Alexia Jowers received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami, double majoring in Music Education as well as Flute Performance.

An active freelancer in central Florida, several of her primary ensembles include the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, Disney (various), and as Principal Flute for touring Broadway shows (now at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center) since 2008.  Other ensembles include the Villages Philharmonic, the Central Florida Lyric Opera, Daytona Solisti Chamber Orchestra, and Flagler Symphony.  She also actively promotes chamber music for weddings and social events under her business name, Elysee Music.

When she is not performing, Alexia enjoys teaching a full studio of kids and adults of all ages and performance levels. In an effort to add to her skills, and change up the routine, Alexia is returning to school this fall, to earn her Master of Arts, with a focus in woodwind doubling.
